Got Beef?

Posted by Courtney on February 13th, 2011. Filed under: Cooking, Food, Recipes.

I will eat beef. I enjoy it. I just have never cooked it a terrible amount. Cost? Finding good quality beef? We are ok not eating it? For some combination of the above I have never focused on cooking beef.

Then, we got 1/8 of a grass-fed cow. I have had to learn to cook beef.

Here are some winners:

-Ground beef: hamburgers, peanut-soy chard and beef wraps

-Ribeye with Gorgonzola and onions. I got the recipe on Pioneer Woman, and it was amazing!! I just used gorgonzola instead of blue cheese just because that is what I had

-Roast in the crock pot with 2 cups of apple cider. Topped with roasted apples, parsnips, and carrots that had been tossed in EVOO, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cooked for 6-8 hours.

I’m a big fan of Pioneer Woman and how she can incorporate heart warming stories into her recipes.

I have friends over at Nurture Center in San Fransisco, CA (they carry eco-friendly baby products like reusable diapers & water birthing tubs) and was wondering if you could add a link to their website from your 3 website, lullabylunasleep.blogspot.com/, wholediligence.wordpress.com/ & this one. In exchange I could add a link & review of your website on mine or Nurture Center could make a monetary donation to you. Let me know if this interests you or if you are open to any other ideas from them.

Look forward to hearing back from you either way….. Thanks for taking the time to respond to me!!

    Sincerely,
